Eläinlääkäriasema Veteira is an independent, family-run veterinary clinic offering appointment-based care at locations in Helsinki and home visits in nearby areas. Services include general consultations and health checks, vaccinations and microchipping, dentistry such as scale and retained baby tooth removal, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery (castration/sterilization) with patient eligibility criteria, dermatology, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. Care is also provided for rodents and exotic pets. Euthanasia and aftercare are arranged in cooperation with a pet crematorium. A range of prescription and daily pet foods is available in clinic and through the online shop.

Pehmytosakirurgia kuten kastraatiot ja sterilaatiot; koirille paino <30 kg ja normaali kallorakenne. Kissojen kastraatio >6 kk, sterilaatio >7 kk. Paasto 10–12 h.

In Helsinki, the University of Helsinki Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Viikki provides 24 hour emergency care for dogs, cats and other small pets. Call ahead if you can so the team can prepare and advise on waiting times and triage. During weekday office hours you can also contact city veterinarians or private clinics for urgent issues. Bring your pet’s medical records and any medication list. Use a taxi or rideshare if you do not have a car and tell the driver you have an animal. For a found or injured stray, take it to the city contracted lost animal shelter or check the City of Helsinki website by searching lost animals Helsinki. For wildlife, follow city guidance and do not handle large animals.
